Quite simple. Ever-present. The new theRonda S UP presence detectors

(Haigerloch, March 2018) Theben is extending its range of theRonda presence detectors designed for energy-efficient, presence-dependent control of lighting and air conditioning for ceiling installation in a flush-mounted box.

The new theRonda S UP presence detectors for ceiling installation are perfectly suited for reliable presence-dependent lighting control in smaller office rooms or side rooms with daylight. Thanks to their protection class IP 54 rating, they are also suitable for use in wet rooms.

theRonda S UP offers a round detection range of 360° covering an area up to 64 m2 at a room height of 4 m, which can be flexibly extended with master/slave circuits (theRonda S360-101 UP). A multitude of high-performance functions ensure high sensitivity and simple operation with theRonda S UP. As a result, both the brightness setpoint in lux and the sensor sensitivity of the presence detector can be conveniently set using the theSenda remote control. With the teach-in function, users can also quickly and easily establish when the detector is to come on, even without specialist knowledge. theRonda automatically detects whether a button or switch is connected. This makes installation easier and rules out any installation errors from the outset. The semi or fully automatic mode lowers energy costs and increases comfort.

The short-term presence function contributes towards increasing energy efficiency. It detects when someone is only briefly in the room and switches the light off, not after the usual 15-minute time delay initially programmed, but as early as two minutes later.
