UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed)

On January 1, 2021, the United Kingdom government confirmed that the new UKCA mark will come into effect. However, until the end of 2022, the CE marking will continue to be recognised as long as the UK and EU regulations are in conformity. After this transition period, only products with the new UKCA marking will be accepted from the beginning of 2023. Until 31.12.2023, the application of the UKCA mark on the packaging is permitted, from 01.01.2024 it must be applied to the device.

What exactly is UKCA?

UKCA stands for “UK Conformity Assessed” and is the UK's new product label. It applies to most products that are marketed / placed on the market in Great Britain, i.e. England, Wales and Scotland. This replaces the CE mark that was previously required for most products.

The distributor of Theben AG products in the UK is our subsidiary Timeguard Limited, Victory Park, 400 Edgware Road, London NW2 6ND

  • UKCA marking applies to most of the products currently covered by regulations and guidelines for  CE marking.
  • However, in order to continue selling products in the EU, the CE mark is still required, as the UKCA mark is not recognized in the EU.
