ThebenHTS’s popular compact office KNX ceiling mounted presence detector has been installed in hundreds of projects. Recently they were specified and installed by Entech Ltd for the Media City project in Salford Quays, Manchester, where over 3000 are installed playing a key role in the automatic control of the lighting in this large state of the art complex. The building is to be occupied by part of BBC Television and Radio which needed a control system able to cope with the flexible work pattern demands of a building occupied 24 hours a day.
The square detection patterns ensured full coverage in open plan office space, keeping the number of detectors to a minimum, with a quality of presence detection second to none. KNX continues to be the building control system of choice with the help of products like the Theben compact office KNX.
